My name is Kris Lofgren , and my biological maternal grandfather was Myron B. Seavey , but people called him Mike. He was in the 853rd and was a 1Lt., 0-1103402 CE He came from Dexter, Maine and left a young wife and 1 yo daughter (my mom). The only thing my grandmother was ever told was that he was last seen on the ship helping someone go over the side. If anyone has any information we'd appreciate it! Based on the research I've done over the years I realize it's most likely that Mike perished when the bomb hit, but you never know! It's worth asking the question. Thank you and feel free to email anytime.
