My Uncle John Hansen was a 853rd casualty on the Rohna. My Grandparents, Father, Uncles and Aunt never new what happened. They new there was secrecy but didn't know the name of the ship or how it sunk. They were led to believe there were no survivors and it was sunk by torpedos. I have been doing family ancestry research and just dug this information up yesterday.
